Charitable Christmas Gifts

How Can Charitable Gifts for Christmas Impact an Entire Community?

When you decide to give charitable gifts for Christmas, you can impact an entire community in Africa or Asia. At GFA World, we are passionate about providing our pastors and missionaries with the supplies they need to impact their communities in a tangible way.

We have numerous community-oriented gifts, but three of the most popular are:

Toilets and Sanitation – Despite falling numbers, more than 5% of the world’s population still practiced open defecation in 2020. Nine out of ten people practicing open defecation lived in one of two regions: Central and Southern Asia, with 233 million people practicing OD, and sub-Saharan Africa, with 197 million people[1] This creates a severe problem in the fight for clean water! When individuals have toilets to use, water is less likely to be contaminated.

You can gift an outdoor toilet for a neighborhood for $540 through GFA World. You can even share the cost with others. Each gift of these facilities provides dignity, safety and better health to a community or neighborhood.

Church buildings – GFA pastors and missionaries often do not have a permanent facility to meet with other believers. A church building communicates the love and glory of God to a community. In addition, a building is often necessary before a fellowship can have relevance in a culture where meeting to worship God in a home is viewed as irreverent.[2] With a building, the people are sheltered from bad weather, the building becomes an epicenter from which ministry efforts can launch, and the church can host community events like weddings, funerals and special events.

At GFA World, church buildings are priced at only $15,400 as we aim to use resources as cost-effectively as possible.

Water Wells – One of the most life-changing community Christmas gifts is the access to clean water. Jesus Wells are dug 600 feet deep or more, to ensure water year-round, even during the dry summer months. The wells are maintained by a GFA pastor, missionary or local church. They take responsibility for trimming the grass around the well, lubricating the hand pump and replacing small parts. A well is expected to last approximately 20 years.[3]

At GFA World, water wells can be donated for only $1,400, and you can join with others to provide a well for a community.

With your help, an entire community can be given a life-changing gift! Join with GFA World this holiday season to spread Christmas joy—the hope of Jesus—to people in Africa and Asia!
