Man 1 This pond is usually used by people to take baths and they will use this water for cooking. When they did not have this Jesus well, they were using it even for drinking. So this pond is the center of their life. This pond water will be used for everything. and due to this reason they get a lot of sickness. When they go they will take their domestic animals and they will wash there. Six month old kid will be washed in same water.
Man 2 Now a Jesus well has a number of benefits for a community. One, it brings water closer to the people than oftentimes their water sources are. And two, it provides them with a cleaner source of water as well.
Can you imagine if you had to walk out in a field over here to a green, slimy pond and pull water out of that or even take your bath in that water? You just can’t imagine that. I wouldn’t even put my toe into some of the water sources I’ve seen in this part of the world. but many people that’s all they’ve got.
