Donate to Christian Missionaries
At GFA World, we provide practical ways you can donate to Christian missionaries. Each item provides tangible help and encouragement to these faithful workers who serve in Africa and Asia. Here are some ways you can give to a missionary:
Sponsor a Missionary’s Needs – When you sponsor a national pastor or missionary, you help meet their basic living needs. These missionaries live simply, and it only takes on average $450 per month to fully support one national worker. Your $45 pledge will help meet his or her ministry needs and family expenses. Just as Jesus humbled Himself, these men and women humble themselves to serve.
Give a Missionary Tangible Gifts – Another way to donate to Christian missionaries is to give them a gift through our gift catalog. Bicycles and motorcycles can be donated to pastors and missionaries so they can have transportation to reach villages that are further away. Missionaries are also helped when you donate toward Bible college training and the National Missionaries Fund, a fund that helps missionaries who are under-supported.
Support Their Outreach – GFA-supported pastors and missionaries often use gifts to tangibly help those they are serving. These gifts help people break the cycle of poverty. They vary in type but can be items like farm animals, vocational training, blankets, sewing machines, mosquito nets, toilets, clean water wells, literacy classes, winter clothing and more. These items help meet needs or create ways for income generation to lift people out of extreme poverty and bring hope to families who have none.
Donate Tools to Spread the Good News – Missionaries are helped greatly when you give tools that assist them to effectively serve. You can give to a missionary by providing tools like Bibles, literature, tracts of the Good News, film projector kits and church buildings. Psalm 96:1-3 says, “Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples” (NKJV). Your support allows missionaries to declare God’s glory to the nations!
Pastor Birkley[1] is a unique example of one of our Christian missionaries. He is also a licensed medical doctor, who took a team to hold a medical camp in an isolated village in Asia. The trek was very difficult as the team had to travel along winding paths up the side of the mountain to reach the location.
“The nearest health care center is around [5.6 miles] from here,” a local pastor explained. “For people like us who are young and healthy, we can reach the primary health care center in little more than one hour.” But what if a villager was elderly or seriously ill? How would they get medical help? When someone is seriously ill or on a stretcher, the trek is dangerous and takes nearly eight hours. Also, most people in the village cannot afford medicine or travel.
Pastor Birkley and his team provide medical care, included disease-prevention training. They help the people with medication, and the volunteers help attendees understand when to take the medication and in what dose.
The pastors and volunteers who help at the clinic pray and counsel the villagers, showing them the love of God. The villagers appreciate the love and care shown to them by these faithful caregivers.
Pastor Birkley would like to have a medical clinic in the village on a monthly basis. GFA pastors have made it their goal to bring communities the care they need in the name of Jesus. You can donate to missionaries to help cover the cost of these medical clinics. Your gift will help many.

You’ll also receive updates from the region and hear how God is working in that area so you know how to pray for your missionary. You will be partnering with him or her in their ministry!
