Christian Missionaries: Reaching the World with Christ’s Love
Christian missionaries inspire hope in the lives of countless people worldwide. Missionaries dedicate themselves to helping vulnerable people receive spiritual guidance and practical support in the name of Christ. GFA World has brought transformation to lives through our dedicated missionaries. These men and women convey both the spiritual message of Christ and tangible assistance to those who need it the most. Missionaries do more than preach the Good News; they live it.
What is a Christian missionary? Christian missionaries are those who dedicate their time, energy and resources to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with people who have not heard of Him. Often the people these individuals serve may not have access to food, clothing and shelter, this presents missionaries with the opportunity to share the hope of Christ in both word and deed. God demonstrates His love for the world through the selfless service of Christian missionaries. We see those attributes in the testimony below.
Beula was a widow who endured unbearable difficulties in her life.[1] The unexpected death of her husband forced her to become the sole caregiver for her three children. To make matters worse, through the years, her health began to decline. Beula was exhausted. Despite her best efforts, the future seemed uncertain.
God’s hand guided the work of two GFA-supported missionaries, Pastor Pieter and Chastity, who distributed blankets to low-income families through their mission program. Pieter and Chastity traveled far to care for Beula, but they did not mind the distance. They cared more about being Beula’s friend. From them, Beula received food, clothing and medical assistance. She could then care for herself and her son, who still lived with her. Pieter and Chastity’s loving care was tremendously impactful.
A devastating blow struck Beula when her only son died from illness. Throughout the pain of this tremendous loss, Pastor Pieter and Chastity continued their support for Beula. They remained by her side, demonstrating the power of Christian fellowship.
GFA-supported missionaries transformed Beula’s life. Who would have known that a blanket would open the door for Beula to hear about hope in Christ? She now has a personal relationship with Christ, praying to Him and daily drawing strength from Him.
Christian missionary stories illustrate the impact of sharing the Good News. GFA-supported missionaries address physical needs and lead people toward the eternal promise of Christ through their faithful sharing of the Good News. They take concrete action by praying for the sick, distributing blankets, providing medical care and income generating tools. Most importantly, they are a comforting presence for people in need, sharing about hope in Christ with whoever will listen.
Christian female missionaries have the same skills as their male counterparts. Female missionaries actively minister in areas that require the utmost care and compassion, often ministering in areas where men cannot, such as in direct one on one conversation with other women. God can use anyone, regardless of their gender or background. Christian missionaries encounter distinct obstacles during their job, yet women play a crucial role in achieving GFA World’s mission objectives.
People such as Beula receive direct experiences of God’s love because of GFA-supported missionaries. The assistance they receive creates enduring changes, both spiritually and emotionally. Missionaries demonstrate Jesus’ teachings through their actions. He stated, “I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink” (Matthew 25:35, NKJV). Missionaries manifest the true meaning of this neighborly love as they serve those in their communities.

GFA-supported missionaries, including Pastor Pieter and Chastity, dedicate their lives to connecting with people who feel neglected, demonstrating Christ’s love through their actions and words.
