What Impact Is the Bridge Builders Network Having in Africa and Asia?
The GFA Bridge Builders network helps make the “impossible” possible! These monthly gifts provide marginalized people in Africa and Asia with the necessities of life—things like clean water, food, educational help, basic medical services and vocational training.
Many people live far away from destitution, and it’s hard to understand the day-to-day struggle that the cycle of poverty creates. If someone’s parents were severely poor and those before them lived in poverty too, that family is living in the cycle of poverty. It is difficult to break out of that cycle on their own. It often takes literacy, education and an outside force to break through and bring change.
You can be that outside force! As a monthly Bridge Builder donor to GFA World, you join a network of those who are committed to helping people in Africa and Asia have the necessities of life, by providing clean water in communities that lack it, feeding the hungry and caring for the poor and forgotten, helping children access education, equipping local volunteers to provide basic medical services, and providing vocational opportunities.
Even more, GFA pastors and missionaries introduce those who have never heard to the Good News of Jesus and His eternal love. And because national pastors were born and raised in the areas where they minister, they have few or no cultural barriers to overcome, so they can readily share the message of Jesus Christ with those who have never heard.
GFA World missionaries serve in Africa and Asia, much of which is part of the 10/40 Window. In this area, millions of people live with little or no chance of ever hearing about Jesus Christ. Thousands of GFA national missionaries are helping to change that narrative. They need you to help them build a bridge of hope.
Psalm 146:5-7 (NKJV) says, “Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God, Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners.”
